Kia: Chapter 5Book one:KiaChapter 5Kia looked up lazily at the sky as she basked on a rock in the suns warming glow. Space walked into the clearing dragging in a plump rabbit. Kia stood up and hopped off the rock, trotting over to Space, proud of her kill. "Good catch," Kia praised as she sniffed at the freshly killed rabbit."Didn't even see it coming," she growled kindly as she laid down to eat her kill. Kia plopped down next to her as they shared the fresh kill. Kia looked up into the sky again, in hopes of seeing Khaki flying around in his wide, graceful, and lazy circles. Kia sighed at her fruitless attempts and bent her head back down to continue eating. Kia licked her snout, feeling content after a good meal. She and Space set out again, not knowing exactly what they were after. As they entered another clearing, the rustling of bushes could be seen ahead. They crouched down quickl
Kia: Chapter 4Book one:KiaChapter 4Kia looked at him with shock and confusion. What is he talking about? Her question was answered when a large dark cloud seemed to seep out of him and form a hand that looked like Man's. It lashed out towards her and Kia didn't have a fast enough reaction time to move. She stood there with her eyes tightly close ready for it to take her in its grasp. She waited for a moment but nothing happened so she opened her eyes to see what was going on. The hand had gone right past her and into the bushes. She took this time to look at and study the hand. It was like the clouds in the sky when they are full of rain except it was inky black like the midnight sky. A loud surprised howl could be heard behind her and the hand lashed back to the wolf with an object in it. It was a purple and yellow she-wolf and she was crying out desperately for help. She was
Kia: Chapter 3Book one:KiaChapter 3Kia had been woken up by Khaki again that night to look at his leg. She kept trying to make sure he slept the right way so his leg wouldn't bother him. A week has gone by since the battle, but to Kia it feels like it happened only yesterday. The blood, the terror, the wolf that had wanted her soul, Kia shivered at the thought of him, and his sudden disappearance. Didn't even leave a blood trial, she thought while checking Khaki's leg. "Well everything seems to be ok. Just go back to sleep. You need it." Kia moved her nest over and laid it next to Khaki's."Ok," he replied, "Thanks Kia. I owe you one." He curled up in his nest and laid his tail over his muzzle."No problem Khaki," Kia said, sleep starting to take over. She curled up in her nest lying against Khaki.Kia looked out into the morning. She was still sleepy from last night but decided to hunt a
Kia: Chapter 2Book one:KiaChapter 2Kia felt waves of emotion washing over her. Mostly anger is what rattled her thoughts. One wolf tried to jump on her but she ducked and turned quickly to try and bite his hind leg but another wolf came and knocked her on the ground. She tried desperately to get him off but he was too strong. When he bent down to bite her neck she tightly shut her eyes. But when no bite came and the weight was off of her, she opened her eyes. Khaki was there standing over her, breathing deeply, panting in her face. Khaki reached for her scruff and helped her up.Khaki smiled at Kia, "Thought you could use some help."Kia shook herself off and smiled back, "Thanks, but what about your leg?" Concern filled her eyes."Don't worry, I'm fine," Khaki said bringing out his wings, "I can fly remember?"Kia nodded and Khaki took to the sky. Kia looked at the battling wolves and went back into battle. K
